Orbio AI in Madrid is seeking an AI Agent Engineer / Full Stack Engineer (Python) to design, implement, and maintain scalable AI agents and backend services, integrating them into production environments.

You will work with product, design, and ML teams to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions, review code, and help shape architecture for secure, reliable AI products in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

This is a full-time AI Agent Engineer / Full Stack Experience (Python) position based in Madrid, with a hybrid work model that combines on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining AI agents, including building backend services and integrating them into production environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing Python-based services, integrating APIs, working with data pipelines, and collaborating with product, design, and ML teams to turn business requirements into robust technical solutions. The engineer will also debug and troubleshoot production issues, write clean and testable code, document systems and workflows, and contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, secure, and reliable AI products. Participation in code reviews, continuous improvement of development practices, and close communication with stakeholders are core aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills, including experience building backend services, APIs, and integrations for production systems.
• Solid understanding of full stack principles (e.g., RESTful APIs, web frameworks, basic front-end integration, and working with databases such as SQL or NoSQL).
• Experience with AI or ML-driven applications, such as integrating large language models, working with AI frameworks, or orchestrating agent workflows.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.
• Comfort with cloud platforms and deployment environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools such as Docker or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a hybrid on-site/remote setting in Madrid.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in building enterprise or B2B products is an advantage.
