Job summary

Powens Group in Barcelona is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the EMI Services squad (10 people) and report to the CPTO. You will oversee delivery and the technical performance for all products developed and maintained by the squad.

You will recruit, coach, and set goals while ensuring regulatory compliance and security. The role emphasizes AI adoption and collaboration with stakeholders in a fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in supporting and managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, French will be a plus.
• Knowledge of Python, Microservices Architecture, gRPC will be a plus.
• Prior experience in a fintech environment will be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Engineering Department's vision and organization to meet development goals.
• Manage the development team of product-oriented squads.
• Recruit team members and onboard new hires, ensuring group cohesion.
• Set goals and KPIs to measure team performance and development quality.
• Coach and support Lead Developers, Developers and QAs.
• Define and run rituals to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain link between squads and external stakeholders.
• Understand regulatory and security framework around Powens.
• Drive AI adoption across the team and measure impact.
