Job summary

Banco Plata, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager for AI Business Features to lead a cross-functional engineering team, own delivery end to end, and collaborate directly with Product, Data, and AI on scope and prioritization. The role requires deep technical insight to review architecture and challenge design decisions independently.

The team operates in short cycles, turning hypotheses into production, measuring outcomes, and scaling or dropping

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex AI features.
• Proven experience leading AI/ML or data-driven engineering teams; experience training models is a plus.
• Hands-on technical background with ability to validate technical decisions.
• Experience building AI-powered, user-facing products from concept to production with A/B testing.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical solutions and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, planning, task decomposition, and cross-team collaboration.
• Own and drive development of AI-powered products from concept to production.
• Ensure strong team performance and on-time delivery aligned with product goals.
• Partner with Product, Data, and AI teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Tackle complex technical and product challenges while maintaining high engineering quality.
• Shape architecture and implementation of scalable backend services and integrations.
