Job summary

Messer SE & Co. KGaA in Tarragona, Spain, seeks an Engineer for Static Equipment - Warm. You will plan and execute projects involving pressure vessels, columns and related equipment, ensuring cost, quality and schedules meet targets.

Requirements include 3+ years in piping/plant construction or gas generation maintenance, English proficiency, and desirable welding certification. The role offers mobile working options in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in piping and plant construction.
• Certification as welding specialist or welding engineer (IWS) desirable.
• Continuing education to become a qualified person for pressure systems.
• Good English; German language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan projects and perform technical price comparisons and commissioning for pressure equipment.
• Handle pressure vessels and gas buffer tanks per AD2000 and EN13445.
• Coordinate columns and vessels subject to AD2000 S.
• Knowledge of European regulations, ASME, and API desirable.
• Track costs, quality and schedules for vessels.
• Develop standards for ASU/CO plants and generators.
• Active participation in HAZOP meetings.
• Budget calculations and technical evaluations for the equipment.
• Support in cooling water or cryogenic equipment.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for project planning, technical price comparisons, project execution, and commissioning for the following equipment:
• Pressure vessels, gas buffer tanks in accordance with AD2000 and EN13445
• Columns
• Pressure vessels subject to alternating pressure loads in accordance with AD2000 Information Sheet S
• Knowledge of European regulations, ASME, and API is desirable
• Responsible for tracking costs, quality, and schedules for the scope of vessels to be processed
• Development of standards for ASU/CO plants and generators
• Active participation in HAZOP meetings
• Budget calculations for the above-mentioned equipment and technical evaluations
• Support in other areas such as cooling water or cryogenic equipment

Your Profile

• Training as a certified industrial foreman or technician specializing in metalworking or a bachelor' s degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering
• At least 3 years of professional experience
• Several years of experience in piping and plant construction or in the maintenance and repair of gas generation plants; certification as a welding specialist or welding engineer (IWS) is desirable
• Continuing education to become a qualified person for pressure systems
• Good verbal and written English skills, German is a plus
• Ability to work in a team, initiative, and assertiveness
• Knowledge in the areas of adsorption, drying, and PSA systems is desirable
