Job summary

Nord Gas Solutions in Valencia, Spain, seeks a Process Engineer to join an international team. You will perform process simulations (Hysys), equipment sizing, and draft PFDs and P&IDs for LNG, LPG, offshore FPSO, and onshore biogas projects.

You will collaborate across disciplines, support project execution, and help advance sustainable gas solutions. Requires a chemical/process engineering degree, 3+ years in maritime/oil&gas, and strong English; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical and process engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in maritime/oil & gas process engineering.
• Process modelling experience (Hysys preferred).
• Understanding of thermodynamics and cryogenic heat transfer.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with Classification Societies rules (DNVGL, BV, LRS).
• Willingness to travel for occasional business trips.
• Ability to work in a multinational team.
• Very good English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience.

Your responsibilities

• Process simulations (Hysys), process calculations and dimensioning of equipment for gas plants on LNG and LPG carriers, offshore (FPSO) and onshore plants, biogas systems
• Preparation of control philosophy, operating philosophy
• Preparation/mark-up of PFDs and P&IDs
• Development and improvement of new and existing products
• Participate in project execution and business development
• Ensure relevant technical information flows through other engineering disciplines

Our requirements

• BSc/MSc preferably in chemical and process engineering or equivalent
• Experience from maritime, Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering
• Process modelling experience (preferable Hysys)
• Understanding of thermodynamics, such as heat transfer in cryogenic processes
• Experienced in using Excel
• Familiarity with applicable Classification Societies rules for marine industry (DNVGL, BV, LRS etc.)
• Willingness to travel if needed, random business trips
• Ability to work in a multinational team
• Flexibility, proactiveness, independence and self-motivation
• Very good English language skills, both verbally and in writing
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience
