Job summary

SAP SE in Barcelona is seeking a Payroll Consultant to coordinate local payroll operations across assigned EMEA countries. You will serve as the single point of contact for external payroll vendors, calculate gross and net pay, and maintain payroll records with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

You will monitor compliance, assist with audits and tax activities, work with Local HR Services, finance and compliance stakeholders, and contribute to improving global payroll standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in payroll processing, data verification and compliance administration.
• Solid knowledge of payroll systems and country-specific tax/regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work with virtual, international teams and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain payroll controls for the EMEA scope.
• Review tasks and identify discrepancies and inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal governance; support audits.
• Define, set, and monitor payroll quality standards with local experts.
• Handle employee inquiries and contribute to internal control activities.
