Job summary

Deel is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to ensure compliant HR operations and high-quality onboarding/offboarding for Employees of Record in the assigned country, starting with Spain. You will handle leave requests, HR letters, enrollments, and support EORs and clients across channels.

Requirements include 3–5 years in HR, fluency in English (German is a plus), and knowledge of labor laws in the EMEA region. Proficiency with HR tools and a startup mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HR Specialist or similar roles managing the full employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken). Fluency in German is a competitive advantage.
• Located in the EMEA region with knowledge of German labor laws is essential.
• HR qualifications or certifications are a valuable asset.
• International HR experience in the EMEA region is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer orientation.
• Start-up experience is highly valued.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to resolve complex HR issues.
• Data driven; aims to improve response times and employee experience.
• Experience using Jira, Zendesk, Slack, Claude, Gemini or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain compliant HR operations in the assigned country per employment laws and internal rules.
• Manage leave requests and processing of HR tasks for EORs (applications, letters, enrollments).
• Audit and update internal and external HR knowledge with stakeholders.
• Provide HR support to EORs and clients across channels.
• Manage standard onboarding and offboarding processes for EORs.
• Collaborate on HR projects, especially mass onboarding/offboarding initiatives.
• Ensure overall quality of HR operations in the country.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the country’s HR operations.
