UST España & Latam is hiring a DevOps/Forward Deployed Engineer to help migrate client projects to the cloud and adopt DevOps best practices. The role involves onboarding teams to our internal DevOps platform and migrating CI/CD pipelines to GitLab, with a focus on Azure and secure-by-design principles.

The position is hybrid in Madrid, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days working from home. You will collaborate with development teams, create templates and training, and drive platform adoption

Formación

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and modern delivery practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Software engineering background (Java, .NET, Python, or similar).
• Experience deploying containerized workloads with Docker/Kubernetes and orchestration tools.
• Experience in restricted enterprise environments with internal registries.

• Lead re-platforming and migration of applications to cloud infrastructure with security/compliance focus.
• Migrate CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab aligning with standards.
• Educate and enable teams on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development.
• Create templates, docs, and training materials to simplify platform adoption.

What we look for?

We are looking for a DevOps / Forward Deployed Engineer to play a key role in helping our software development teams migrate to the cloud and adopt DevOps best practices across the project of the client from the banking sector.

Work Location: Work model in hybrid in Madrid (3 days at the office, 2 WFH),

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:

• Support multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and product teams in onboarding to our internal DevOps platform and curated Azure services
• Drive the re-platforming/migration of applications to cloud infrastructure while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards, compliance controls, and secure-by-design principles
• Drive the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Bitbucket/Jenkins to GitLab, ensuring alignment with platform standards and compliance requirements
• Collaborate closely with development teams, educating and enabling them on DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and cloud-native development
• Contribute to improving the developer experience by creating templates, documentation, and training materials that simplify platform adoption

What do we expect from you?

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and modern delivery practices
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and migrating between toolchains (Bitbucket/Jenkins → GitLab)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Software engineer with hands-on experience in application development (Java, .NET, Python, or similar)
• Experience with deployment of containerized workloads and orchestration (Nexus, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working in air-gapped or restricted enterprise environments, where all external dependencies must be consumed from internal registries
• Fluency in English
