Job summary

Selecto is seeking a senior design leader to anchor a global sports broadcasting project in Madrid. You own the vision for a multi-platform design system spanning web, mobile, and TV, and you will guide a multidisciplinary team and client relationship on-site.

You will manage strategy, quality, and design operations, champion accessibility and multilingual support, and collaborate with AI-assisted workflows while maintaining craft in a high-pressure, real-time data environment.

Qualifications

• Senior design leader with 10+ years in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience in events, sports, broadcast or streaming preferred; live data is advantageous.
• Proven track record building and governing enterprise-scale design systems across web, native mobile and TV.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Based in Madrid; on-site weekly with travel to client sites as needed.
• Comfortable as the most senior design voice in cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with design tokens and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Hold the strategic view of the product and translate objectives into a clear design direction and deliverable plan.
• Lead day-to-day client communications, manage expectations, and present to senior stakeholders.
• Manage and coach the remote delivery team across European time zones; grow seniors into leads.
• Set briefs, manage sprint workloads, and coordinate with vendors and engineering partners.
• Architect and govern an atomic design system across web, mobile, and TV; ensure accessibility and multilingual support.
• Work with AI-assisted prototyping and automated QA while keeping craft intact.
• Guide research and validation by shaping tests, analytics and benchmarks to inform decisions.
