Job summary

Erni is seeking a Lead Project Manager to oversee end-to-end delivery of complex software development projects in a fully remote setting. You will mentor junior PMs, drive Agile practices, and ensure projects are on time and within budget.

You will partner with global teams, manage budgets, risks, and reporting, and foster continuous improvement across the project management lifecycle. This role offers a remote-first environment with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management with 5+ years in software development projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks; Scrum Master cert is desirable.
• Fluent English; Spanish knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Champion Agile practices and foster high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple software development projects from initiation through closure, ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.
• Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and best practices, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Effectively manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, implementing effective contingency plans.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers, sharing expertise and promoting professional development.
• Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management office and software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on software development projects.
• Proven experience in a Lead Project Manager or similar senior role, including team leadership.
• In-depth knowledge and practical application of Agile frameworks (Scrum Master certification highly desirable).
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong risk management and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and resources for large-scale projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
