Canoa is seeking a Rotational Chief Engineer for a 50m private hybrid explorer yacht. This full-time role operates on a 2:2 rotation, aboard a vessel with 9 crew, cruising routes including remote destinations.

The engineer will be hands-on, troubleshooting and managing warranty issues with contractors while ensuring continuous operations. The ideal candidate has experience with new builds, modern integrated systems and automation, and holds appropriate Chief Engineer tickets.

Formación

• Hands-on, troubleshooting and fault-finding experience on large vessels.
• Willing to work every day during rotation and manage long ocean legs.
• Experience with new builds and warranty management; contractors coordination.
• Experience with modern integrated systems, automation; hybrid propulsion preferred.
• Similar-size yacht experience and appropriate Chief Engineer tickets are required.

ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER - 50M PRIVATE M/Y

Looking for a Rotational Chief Engineer for a new-build 50m hybrid explorer yacht.

2:2 rotation

€10,000/month

Private / foreign flagged

9 crew

Full-time Second Engineer onboard

Extensive cruising planned, including New Zealand / South Pacific and remote destinations

Must be genuinely hands-on, strong at troubleshooting and fault finding, and comfortable operating away from easy shore-side support. You will be expected to work every day while on rotation.

Strong experience with new builds, warranty management, contractors, defect tracking and closing out technical issues is highly desirable.

Ideal candidates will have similar-size yacht experience, appropriate Chief Engineer tickets and experience with modern integrated systems, automation and preferably hybrid propulsion.
