CHERY Spain R&D Center in Europe seeks an experienced Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis Tuning Engineer to drive ride and handling performance across test campaigns in Europe.

You will calibrate springs, dampers, EPS, and active systems, conduct trials, analyze results, and collaborate with global teams to shape future chassis architectures.

A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering and at least five years of hands-on experience are required; travel is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Perform chassis tuning to optimize Ride & Handling performance.
• Calibrate and adjust chassis systems including springs, dampers, EPS and active components.
• Conduct vehicle dynamics testing across Europe and analyze results.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations from test data.
• Support resolution of ride and handling issues with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to full vehicle development from concept to launch.

Chery Spain R&D Center is Chery Automobile’s regional R&D Center in Europe and a key part of its global strategy. The center focuses on European adaptation and validation, plant technical support, localized component development, quality issue analysis, connected vehicle operations, and FL vehicle development, while continuously strengthening its capabilities in product definition, validation, technical coordination, and project support. With the capability to independently develop large FL models for global markets, it plays a vital role in Chery’s global R&D network and is committed to delivering competitive solutions for both European and international markets.

What You’ll Do

• Perform chassis tuning activities to achieve optimal Ride & Handling (R&H) performance.
• Calibrate and adjust chassis systems, including springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, EPS, bushings, bump stops, and active chassis systems.
• Independently conduct vehicle dynamics testing and tuning activities at proving grounds and test locations across Europe.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Support the resolution of complex ride and handling performance issues.
• Define vehicle-level and system-level R&H performance targets through benchmarking and driving character evaluations.
• Support objective and subjective testing correlation activities.
• Contribute throughout the full vehicle development process, from concept definition to launch.
• Participate in validation and development test campaigns.
• Drive continuous improvement of chassis tuning methodologies and engineering processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams both locally and globally to achieve vehicle performance targets.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis Tuning.
• Strong understanding of lateral, longitudinal, and vertical vehicle dynamics.
• Knowledge of Ride & Handling systems, components, and chassis architecture.
• Understanding of how electronic vehicle control systems impact dynamics performance (ESC, torque vectoring, active suspension, etc.).
• Proven vehicle testing and development experience.
• Experience using calibration, measurement, and diagnostic tools (Vector, Dewesoft, or equivalent).
• Experience with structured subjective vehicle evaluation methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on, and self‑driven mindset.Full professional proficiency in English.
• Availability to travel regularly to test and development locations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with advanced chassis technologies such as air suspension, rear‑wheel steering, or torque vectoring.
• Experience across the complete vehicle development lifecycle.Knowledge of CAE and simulation‑driven development processes.
• Spanish and/or Chinese language skills.
• Experience working in international and multicultural engineering environments.Master's degree in Vehicle Engineering or a related field.
