Chery Spain R&D Center seeks an experienced Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to lead chassis tuning and validation across Europe. You will calibrate springs, dampers, EPS, and related systems, conduct vehicle dynamics tests, and analyze results to drive performance improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in vehicle dynamics, English proficiency, and willingness to travel. Join a fast-growing European R&D hub focused on European adaptation and validation for Chery vehicles.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis Tuning.
  • Strong understanding of lateral, longitudinal, and vertical vehicle dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Ride & Handling systems, components, and chassis architecture.
  • Understanding of how electronic vehicle control systems impact dynamics performance (ESC, torque vectoring, active suspension, etc.).
  • Proven vehicle testing and development experience.
  • Experience using calibration, measurement, and diagnostic tools (Vector, Dewesoft, or equivalent).
  • Experience with structured subjective vehicle evaluation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and self-driven mindset.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
  • Valid European driving licence.
  • Availability to travel regularly to test and development locations.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform chassis tuning activities to achieve optimal Ride & Handling (R&H) performance.
  • Calibrate and adjust chassis systems, including springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, EPS, bushings, bump stops, and active chassis systems.
  • Independently conduct vehicle dynamics testing and tuning activities at proving grounds and test locations across Europe.
  • Analyze test results and prepare technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support the resolution of complex ride and handling performance issues.
  • Define vehicle-level and system-level R&H performance targets through benchmarking and driving character evaluations.
  • Support objective and subjective testing correlation activities.
  • Contribute throughout the full vehicle development process, from concept definition to launch.
  • Participate in validation and development test campaigns.
  • Drive continuous improvement of chassis tuning methodologies and engineering processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams both locally and globally to achieve vehicle performance targets.

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in international and multicultural engineering environments.
  • Master's degree in Vehicle Engineering or a related field.
