Job summary

USO is seeking a Center Operations Specialist for our location in Rota, Spain. You will execute daily center operations, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for service members and families. You may design and deliver cost-efficient programs and coordinate volunteers to maximize impact.

The role involves planning, reporting, and collaborating with local partners to ensure programs run smoothly and meet mission goals while balancing budget and resources.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in event management, marketing, retail, customer service, or related role.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and digital tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day Center operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.
• Engage with Center visitors and serve as a subject matter expert about amenities, tours, and services.
• Plan and oversee programs, events, and activities within budget and time constraints.
• Coordinate with volunteers and manage communication and reporting related to volunteer hours.
