Job summary

Hitachi Energy Spain, S.A.U. in Madrid is seeking a Business Controller for our Power Consulting business in the UK and Spain to partner with business leaders, drive performance, and enable profitable growth.

You will oversee budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting, governance and internal controls across two countries, turning data into insights and supporting strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, accounting, or business finance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders and collaborate in international teams.

• Act as a trusted finance business partner for the Power Consulting teams in the UK and Spain.
• Support strategic decision making through financial analysis and business insights.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
• Monitor business performance and identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
• Deliver accurate monthly reporting, financial analysis, and performance reviews.

• Support audits, risk management activities, and balance sheet reviews.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardization, and data quality.
