Thomson Reuters is seeking an Employment Counsel in Barcelona to provide strategic, practical labor and employment support across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This hybrid role blends office presence (3 days) with remote work, collaborating with HR, Compliance and business leaders to navigate complex employee relations and investigations.

You will advise on policy, restructurings, wage and hour issues, M&A employment aspects, and employment-related risk, while overseeing outside counsel

Qualifications

• Law degree and licensed to practice law in Spain.
• 5–10+ years of employment law experience, in-house preferred.
• Ability to think strategically, balance risk with commercial needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication across jurisdictions.

Responsabilités

• Counsel HR and management on day-to-day labor relations and policy.
• Advise on union matters, investigations, and restructurings.
• Lead multi-jurisdictional litigation strategy and oversee outside counsel.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Privacy, Finance and GCO teams.
• Develop playbooks and guidance to standardize employment practices.
