Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel in Barcelona to advise HR and business leaders across Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Africa on day‑to‑day labor matters, investigations, restructurings and compliance.

Hybrid role with 3 days in office, 2 remote, reporting to the GCO/Litigation Team, providing strategic guidance and coordinating with outside counsel on multi-jurisdictional employment issues.

Qualifications

• Law degree and licensed to practice in Spain.
• 5–10+ years of employment law experience, with in-house preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel HR and managers on day-to-day employee and labor relations issues.
• Advise on labor and employment issues to support Reuters’ reporting and business needs.
• Act as trusted advisor to HR and business leaders across multiple jurisdictions.
