Job summary

HP Inc. in Barcelona seeks an experienced Litigation Counsel to manage a broad portfolio of litigation and investigations across EMEA.

Based in Barcelona, you will lead strategy, advise on risks, and work with regional counsel and outside teams to deliver coordinated representation. This role requires strong litigation judgment, ability to handle complex disputes, and the capacity to coordinate across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree and bar admission in a relevant jurisdiction.
• At least five years of post-qualification experience handling litigation and investigations.
• Experience leading or substantially contributing to strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to work across borders and coordinate with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead litigation and dispute strategy for EMEA matters from pre-suit to resolution.
• Manage a broad portfolio of disputes across commercial, IP, competition, and regulatory matters.
• Lead investigations and responses to government inquiries.
• Provide substantive litigation counsel on claims, defenses, and strategy.
• Coordinate cross-border matters with local counsel and internal stakeholders.
• Advise business and legal leaders with clear exposure assessments and options.
• Direct outside counsel, including budgets and staffing.
• Manage matter budgets and forecasts and advise on reserves.
• Lead factual and evidentiary development with stakeholders.
• Identify recurring issues and improve business practices to reduce disputes.
• Strengthen global litigation function with knowledge sharing and process improvements.
