Macadam is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to own the server-side infrastructure powering our app for millions of walkers. You will design robust APIs, optimize data models, and implement caching to ensure performance at scale.

The role is based in Barcelona, with a hybrid culture and strong collaboration with mobile, product, and data teams. We value 6+ years in backend development, expertise in TypeScript/Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Prisma ORM, plus experience with Google Cloud

Formación

• 6+ years of backend development in product-driven, high-traffic environments.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Prisma ORM.
• Experience deploying on Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native patterns.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Architect data models and queries for performance and scalability.
• Implement caching strategies to ensure responsiveness at scale.
• Collaborate with mobile, product, and data teams on API contracts.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Monitor and optimize backend performance and reliability.
