Macadam is expanding its engineering team in Barcelona. As Backend Engineering Manager, you will own the technical quality of our backend and lead a team of 5 engineers, reporting to the Director of Engineering.

This role is based in Barcelona and open to those already living there or relocating. You will build a robust, scalable architecture, collaborate with QA and Mobile teams, and push the use of AI to multiply output.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend development experience with scalable systems.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and NestJS.
• Proficient PostgreSQL knowledge, including indexing and optimization.
• Hands-on Redis and Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Experience with Prisma ORM or similar.

Responsabilidades

• Build robust, scalable backend architecture and lead a team of engineers.
• Ensure technical quality of the backend and drive delivery lifecycle improvements.
• Collaborate with QA and Mobile teams to smooth daily operations.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and guide the team growth.
• Lead a team of 5 backend engineers in a NestJS/TS/Postgres/GCP environment.
