Powens is seeking a Data & Backend engineer to design, build and run high-traffic REST APIs in Python, and to own data pipelines behind our categorization services. You will contribute to architectural choices on a distributed platform, ensure code quality and observability, and collaborate with product and production teams to translate client needs into robust solutions.

You will work with Prefect or similar orchestration tools, and with databases like MariaDB and data lake/storage

Formación

• Proven experience building high-traffic REST APIs in Python.
• Hands-on data pipeline orchestration with Prefect or similar tools.
• Experience with distributed, event-driven architectures and big data storage.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and run high-traffic REST APIs and backend services in Python.
• Build and maintain data pipelines behind categorization and enrichment services.
• Own services from design to deployment, monitoring and production support.
• Contribute to architectural decisions on a distributed, multi-tenant platform.
• Maintain code quality, security, performance and observability.
• Collaborate with product and production teams on solutions.
