Bark is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll help build scalable product features using Python, crafting robust APIs and services that power our marketplace.

You will work across the stack from idea to deployment, optimizing data stores, integrating third-party services, and mentoring peers as we scale to handle increasing demand and personalization, AI analytics, and engagement features.

Formación

• Expertise in Python in production environments.
• Design, implement and test APIs, event handlers and business logic.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data modelling.
• Production Docker usage; Kubernetes or Fargate/ECS/EKS is a plus.
• Experience building, testing and documenting features for other developers.

Responsabilidades

• Work with development teams and product managers to conceptualise and implement software solutions.
• Build elegant and performant APIs and handlers.
• Develop and manage datastores and services.
• Proactively propose and implement codebase improvements.
• Mentor other engineers to support their growth.
• Design and code solutions for high-transaction systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to evolve the product.
