Affirm is seeking a software engineering professional to join the Recoveries team within the Repayments group in Spain. You will own backend systems at scale (Python, AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes) and ship web apps with React, while handling batch processing and on-call responsibilities.

You will work remotely from Spain, with visa sponsorship available, and participate in a compensation package that includes equity and comprehensive health coverage.

Formación

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale (Python, AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
• Experience shipping web apps using React or declarative UI frameworks.
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating batch processing or asynchronous workloads.
• Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, guiding engineers through ambiguity to solutions.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics across the lifecycle, articulating constraints and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and solve project, process, tech, or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts, monitor metrics, and participate in on-call efforts.
• Set and improve code review and design standards, and mentor others.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance and leading by example.
