Job summary

Alexion Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director of Scientific Communications Excellence to lead publication operations and enable AI‑driven automation across global teams. You will drive governance, SOP development, and system oversight for iEnvision and related platforms.

The role requires 5–7 years in pharma operations or medical communications, strong analytics, and a PMP/CMPP or equivalent certification is a plus. Travel to represent the company at professional societies may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of relevant pharma operations or medical communications experience.
• PM proficiency with project plans and cross‑functional timelines; PMP a plus.
• Advanced analytics and reporting using Excel/Smartsheet and Power BI.
• Experience with publication guidelines (ICMJE, GPP2022, GDPR, Sunshine Act).
• Hands‑on experience with publication management systems (iEnvision Datavision, SharePoint, Veeva).
• Strong problem‑solving and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion publication excellence and educate stakeholders and agencies on AZ standards.
• Ensure audit readiness of the iEnvision platform and processes.
• Develop SOPs and guidance aligned with compliance needs.
• Drive innovation with AI-enabled tools and automation (e.g., Power BI).
• Oversee internal tools and vendor coordination for publication platforms.
• Track KPIs and translate data into leadership recommendations.
