AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director, Data Scientist in the AI for Clinical Development team. You will be hands‑on, developing and deploying AI methods that influence trial design across early and late phase programmes.

You will lead cross‑functional collaboration with clinical development, regulatory, and biometrics to deliver scalable, reusable solutions. You will apply foundation models, Bayesian and time‑series methods, and data‑centric AI to accelerate decision making while

Competenze

• PhD preferred; MSc with an exceptional computational track record considered.
• 2–5 years post‑PhD experience in AI/ML method development with impact in clinical/biomedical settings.
• Deep knowledge of biology with hands‑on data experience (molecular, imaging, or clinical text).
• Strong software engineering skills in Python and modern ML tooling.
• Experience translating methodologies into actionable cross‑functional insights.
