Zurich Insurance Group's Technology Delivery Center in Barcelona seeks an AI Governance Specialist to lead regulatory alignment, risk assessments, and responsible AI initiatives across global operations.

You will partner with risk, legal, compliance, and tech teams to implement ethical, transparent, and secure AI solutions while enabling sustainable business growth.

Formación

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering/Data related field required.
• Experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of EU AI Act and governance standards (NIST RMF, ISO 42001) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor AI regulations, standards, and best practices to strengthen governance.
• Apply governance frameworks and regulatory requirements to AI use cases.
• Conduct AI risk and impact assessments across the organization.
• Advise stakeholders on Responsible AI requirements and governance expectations.
• Challenge assessments with independent, evidence-based recommendations.
• Develop and enhance AI governance processes, controls, and review methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant deployments.
• Review AI/ML systems' methodologies, data usage, and risks.

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate AI Governance Specialist to join our Group Responsible AI (RAI) Team. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of shaping how our organization interacts with cutting‑edge AI technologies, safeguarding our customers and stakeholders while actively enabling sustainable business growth.

As AI Governance Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Monitor emerging AI regulations, industry standards, and best practices to strengthen the organization's AI governance framework.
• Apply AI governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act, to AI use cases and business initiatives.
• Conduct AI risk and impact assessments to evaluate the responsible use of AI solutions across the organization.
• Advise business, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and security stakeholders on Responsible AI requirements and governance expectations.
• Challenge assessments and control decisions by providing independent, evidence‑based recommendations and review outcomes.
• Develop and continuously enhance AI governance processes, controls, standards, and review methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure AI solutions are deployed in a compliant, ethical, and risk‑aware manner.
• Review AI and ML systems, assessing methodologies, data usage, model performance, limitations, and associated risks.
• Produce clear assessment reports, governance decisions, and stakeholder communications that support transparency and accountability.

What Makes You a great Fit?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data, or a related field.
• Proven experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, Model Risk Management, or AI Risk and Compliance, including hands‑on experience conducting and reviewing AI risk and impact assessments.
• Practical knowledge of the EU AI Act and familiarity with AI governance standards such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AI and ML systems, with the ability to assess model design, data usage, performance, limitations, and associated risks.
• Experience designing, improving, or scaling AI governance frameworks, processes, controls, or operating models in audit, risk, compliance, or other regulated environments; insurance or financial services experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge, influence, and advise technical and business stakeholders.
• AI Assessment Framework (AIAF): Continuously maintained and optimized risk assessment methodology.
• AI Catalogue: Group‑wide AI use case inventory and tracking system complete and accurate.
• Guidance Library: Regularly updated documentation on responsible AI topics.
• Strategic Business Insights: Reports based on AI catalogue data to inform executive leadership.
• RAI Advisory Services: Responsible design guidance and training to RAI Champions Network.
