Zurich Insurance invites applications for a Data Engineering & Visualization Intern position in Barcelona. The role offers up to 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule, ideal for an active student looking to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, visualization, and AI-enabled development.

You will collaborate on AI-driven projects, learn from experts, and develop practical skills in pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud basics while contributing to real-world solutions at Zurich's TDC

Formación

• Active student status with a Spanish University/School is mandatory.
• Interest in data engineering concepts (data pipelines, ETL, visualization).
• Familiarity or strong interest in AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.

As a Data Engineering & Visualization Intern you will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate on exciting projects, such as integrating AI capabilities (Claude Code) into our development workflows to accelerate and enhance our engineering processes.
• Develop and deploy innovative tech solutions, such as building a reusable AI asset with pre‑configured tools, skills, and settings that makes AI adoption easier and more accessible for all team members.
• Ensure best practices and governance, by aligning AI integrations with Zurich's internal standards and leveraging existing internal assets and frameworks across our projects and products.
• Work alongside experts in various technological domains.
• Enhance your skills with real‑world experience
• Contribute to a team that values your input and creativity

• Active student status with a Spanish University/School is mandatory.
• Passionate about a tech career.
• Available for at least a 6-month part-time/internship program.
• Tech‑savvy with a curious mind.
• Enthusiastic, capable, and eager to learn.
• A good team player with a responsible, can‑do attitude.
• Familiarity or strong interest in AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.
• Interest in data engineering concepts (data pipelines, ETL processes, visualization tools).
• Awareness of version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
• Bonus: Exposure to cloud environments (Azure/AWS) or CI/CD workflows.
