Job summary

GE Vernova Wind Engineering seeks aGovernance & Responsible AI Leader to define and enforce standards for safe, compliant, and responsible AI usage across wind engineering. You will manage risk, cybersecurity, IP protection, and regulatory compliance while ensuring auditable, transparent AI processes.

The role partners with Legal, Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams to embed governance into engineering design and deployment, ensuring governance criteria are met before production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related regulatory field.
• Significant experience in governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, or AI/data ethics.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain governance frameworks in a fast-moving environment.
• Practical understanding of AI, ML, and generative AI risks in industrial contexts.
• Experience partnering with Legal, Security, Privacy, and Compliance functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AI governance framework covering risk, compliance, cybersecurity, data standards, IP, and Responsible AI.
• Establish decision rights, approvals, and escalation for AI deployments across Wind Engineering.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical governance standards for engineering teams.
• Maintain governance records and ensure audits and traceability across the AI portfolio.
• Provide governance oversight for AI deployments through the stage-gate process (POC to MVP to PPS).
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to embed requirements into engineering processes.
