Job summary

2 Hour Learning is seeking an experienced ELA curriculum designer to leverage AI and student data to refine reading, writing, and language instruction. You will rebuild exercises, scaffolds, and assessments to drive measurable mastery gains, using AI tools and no-code workflows within our platform.

The role emphasizes direct curriculum redesign and content validation, with a focus on improving MAP, SAT, AP and other ELA-focused metrics. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in English or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in ELA instruction and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated K-12 ELA expertise and assessment evaluation ability.
• Practical knowledge of learning science and instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Drive quantifiable ELA mastery gains by refining reading, writing, language, assessment, scaffolding and intervention content.
• Analyze student performance data and platform analytics to identify learning obstacles.
• Redesign reading exercises, writing frameworks, vocabulary sequences and scaffolding.
• Refine assessments: prompts, rubrics, model responses and materials.
• Review AI-generated content for clarity, rigor, alignment and grade-appropriateness.
