Babel Profiles in Barcelona is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to own complex AR operations, including billing, cash application and reconciliations, in a collaborative international finance team.

You will investigate discrepancies, support month-end close, help improve processes and act as a technical reference for colleagues. English fluency is required; SAP and Excel experience preferred; hybrid work with three days from home.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally in an international Shared Services Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
• Knowledge of billing, cash application, account reconciliations and month-end closing
• Experience resolving discrepancies and handling complex cases
• Full professional proficiency in English, additional languages are a plus
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities and autonomy
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience using SAP and Excel

Responsabilités

• Manage complex Accounts Receivable operations, including billing, cash application and account reconciliations
• Investigate discrepancies, outstanding items and unidentified payments, identifying root causes and ensuring timely resolution
• Handle complex cases and escalations, collaborating with Finance, Treasury and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardise and automate AR processes, contributing to operational efficiency
• Act as a technical reference for the team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues with complex queries
• Contribute to onboarding and training activities, maintaining operational documentation and supporting process transitions when required

Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys solving complex financial issues and improving processes? This opportunity allows you to combine hands‑on expertise with a broader role supporting colleagues, strengthening operational standards, and driving continuous improvement

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join an international finance environment in Barcelona. This role is ideal for someone with strong AR expertise who can take ownership of complex cases, act as a technical reference for the team, and contribute to more efficient, consistent, and reliable financial operations

Beyond day-to-day activities, you will help identify the root causes of discrepancies, support knowledge sharing and collaborate with different stakeholders to improve processes and maintain high operational standards

Main responsibilities:
