Universidade de Vigo invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) in the T03 Mechanical Engineering, Machines, and Thermal and Fluid Motors group in Spain.

The role focuses on the design of experimental devices for mechanical testing of bovine pericardium patches, development and commissioning of equipment for tensile and bending tests, and execution of experimental tests with data acquisition at 50% part-time capacity.

Formación

• English proficiency accredited through an official certificate.
• Academic background.
• Experience in laboratory work, mechanical characterization, or work with biological tissues; relevance of thesis work, internships and training will be considered.

Offer Description

Design of experimental devices for mechanical testing of bovine pericardium patches.

Development and commissioning of equipment for tensile and bending tests.

Execution of experimental tests and data acquisition.

• Item 01: English proficiency accredited through an official certificate (punctuation: 25)
• Item 02: Academic background (punctuation: 15)
• Item 03: Experience in laboratory work, mechanical characterization, or work with biological tissues. The relevance of professional experience, bachelor's or master's thesis work, internships, and specific training will be considered (punctuation: 25)
• Item 04: Experience in mechanical design, prototype manufacturing, programming, or the use of engineering tools (CAD, data processing, MATLAB, or Python). The relevance of professional experience, bachelor's or master's thesis work, internships, and specific training will be considered (punctuation: 20)
• Item 05: Personal interview. The interview will only be conducted with candidates who obtain at least 50 points from the evaluation of merits. The interview may be waived if there is only one candidate (punctuation: 15)
