Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S is seeking a Student Worker to support the Detail Design & Development team in wind turbine blade structural design projects. You will assist senior engineers with data processing, simulations, and documentation, while contributing to software development and automation tasks.

This 12-month role requires ongoing student status and a background in mechanical or software engineering.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a technical field.
  • Foundational programming skills in Python or MATLAB.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and structural analysis concepts.
  • Must maintain student status for the entire 12-month contract duration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with data processing, analysis and visualization for wind turbine blade structural design projects.
  • Support the preparation and formatting of technical documentation, reports and design specifications under supervision.
  • Run simulations using established in-house engineering software and tools.
  • Maintain and update project databases and internal information systems for data accuracy.
  • Develop and test scripts (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automating design and analysis tasks.
