Job summary

Siemens Gamesa seeks a Student Worker in Customer Order Engineering to help develop methodologies for the sea transport of wind turbine components. You will generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams, assess transport routes, and contribute to bolt reuse standardization.

Wind load packages will be formatted for professional presentation, with weight/dimension documents kept up-to-date. The role offers exposure to global wind energy projects and collaboration across international teams.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture or related field.
  • Knowledge of wave–structure interaction and ship stability preferred.
  • Experience with Orcina software (OrcaFlex and OrcaWave) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with potential flow theory and classification society rules (DNV, BV, ABS).
  • Knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python for numerical programming.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methodologies to accelerate sea transport design.
  • Generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and evaluate multiple sea transport routes for wind turbine components.
  • Assist in standardizing bolt reuse methods to improve efficiency.
  • Format wind load packages and MWS documents for professional presentation.
  • Update and maintain weight and dimension documents for consistency.
