Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Student Worker to support the Detail Design & Development team in Aalborg, Denmark. You will assist engineers with data processing, run simulations, and help improve internal design tools while learning in a hands-on wind energy environment.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a related engineering field and have basic Python or MATLAB skills. The 12-month contract offers exposure to cutting-edge renewable energy projects and tool development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers with data processing, analysis, and visualization for wind turbine blade structural design projects.
  • Support the preparation and formatting of technical documentation, reports, and design specifications under supervision.
  • Perform routine calculations and run simulations using in-house engineering software.
  • Help maintain project databases and internal information systems for data accuracy.
  • Contribute to development and testing of scripts (Python, MATLAB) for automating tasks.

  • You will assist senior engineers with data processing, analysis, and visualization for wind turbine blade structural design projects.
  • Support the preparation and formatting of technical documentation, reports, and design specifications under direct supervision.
  • Perform routine calculations and run simulations using established, in-house engineering software and tools.
  • Help maintain and update project‑related databases and internal information systems to ensure data accuracy.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of scripts (e.g., in Python, MATLAB) for automating design and analysis tasks.
What You Bring
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

About The Team

The Detail Design & Development (DDD) team is part of Siemens Energy’s Blade Structural Design organization and plays a key role in the development and continuous improvement of wind turbine blades. Our team consists of structural engineers, technical specialists, and software developers who work at the intersection of engineering and digitalization. In addition to supporting blade design activities, we develop and maintain a suite of in-house engineering tools used by engineers across the organization. These tools are critical for efficient blade design, analysis, data management, and engineering workflows. As part of our team, you will work closely with experienced engineers, contribute to digitalization initiatives, and help improve the tools and processes that support the design of next‑generation renewable energy technology.
