Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Senior Structural Blade Engineer to lead the structural analysis of wind turbine blades. You will perform detailed ANSYS-based simulations, assess strength and fatigue, and drive improvements across a global fleet.

You will collaborate with design, materials, and testing teams and document findings for stakeholders. A Master’s or PhD is preferred with experience in composites and MATLAB/Python programming.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural analysis of wind turbine blades.
  • Expert-level proficiency in ANSYS tools for FEM/FEA and composite analysis.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and structural mechanics.
  • Able to work independently and drive tasks without supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural analysis of wind turbine blades using ANSYS.
  • Lead and execute FEA tasks independently, assessing strength, fatigue, and stability.
  • Collaborate with design, materials, process, and testing teams.
  • Document results and present findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and improve simulation methodologies and perform RCA as a technical lead.
