Job summary

Siemens Gamesa, a global leader in wind energy, seeks a Senior Structural Blade Engineer to drive structural analysis of offshore turbine blades. You will perform ANSYS-based FEM/FEA analyses, lead FEA tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance blade reliability and performance.

The role requires 5+ years of blade analysis experience, expert ANSYS skills, and a strong background in composites and mechanics.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural analysis of wind turbine blades.
  • Expert-level proficiency in ANSYS for FEM/FEA and composite analysis.
  • Strong understanding of composite materials and structural mechanics.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred; MATLAB and Python knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural analysis of wind turbine blades using ANSYS.
  • Lead FEA tasks, modify blade models for strength, fatigue, and stability assessments.
  • Collaborate with design, materials, process, and testing teams to drive improvements.
  • Document analysis results and present findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to development of simulation methodologies and perform RCA as technical lead.
