Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Engineer Loads & Analytics R&D to advance wind turbine technologies through data-driven analysis and simulations. You will work with engineering data, develop tooling, and contribute to product reliability and innovation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and ongoing methodological enhancements to support design verification and performance assessment across large data sets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, energy engineering, software engineering, data science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering or product development experience.
• Experience with simulation, modeling, and engineering data analysis.
• To develop and maintain engineering software tools, automated workflows, and analysis solutions using MATLAB, Python or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and operational data.
• Effective communication skills and professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering investigations using simulations, measurements, and operational data to identify and resolve technical issues related to wind turbine performance and loads.
• Develop and apply analytical methods to evaluate turbine behavior, validate product requirements, and support engineering decisions across large data sets.
• Support the development and maintenance of simulation models, optimization tools, and automated workflows used for design verification and performance assessment.
• Analyze operational and measurement data to generate insights that improve turbine reliability, performance, and engineering efficiency.
• Develop and maintain software tools and engineering solutions using programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing engineering methodologies, validation processes, and data-driven decision-making practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate technical findings and support the execution of engineering projects.
