Job summary

SGS in Taastrup, Denmark, is seeking a Technical Specialist to help build advisory services for Scandinavia. The role combines sales activities with technical testing expertise on consumer and professional products, coordinating with our global laboratory network.

You will navigate applicable legislation, prepare test plans, and manage client projects from meetings to test reports, while liaising with the Nordic Sales Team and local management for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience with product compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, materials technology, food science or similar.
• Fluent Danish and English, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of chemical legislation and food contact materials.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on customer inquiries and arrange meetings on product compliance.
• Prepare test plans and coordinate testing across SGS laboratory network.
• Handle product safety projects from initial meetings to test reports.
• Review legal documents and translate requirements into client‑facing information.
