Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking a Team Lead for the Offshore Blades Module to drive the strategy and performance of the blade engineering team. You will guide lifecycle management of blades and structural components, ensuring top quality and reliability for offshore wind projects.

You will mentor engineers, set KPIs, manage risks, and collaborate with other engineering managers to optimize resources and align activities with the design authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of wind turbine blade engineering or related field experience.
• 3–5 years of managerial or team-lead experience mentoring technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials and structural mechanics.

Are you ready to lead a specialized team in the exciting world of offshore wind turbine technology? As the Team Lead for the Offshore Blades Module, you will play a key role in shaping our strategy and establishing our market leadership. You’ll manage the lifecycle of essential components like blades and structural elements, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of blade engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring they have the skills needed for today and tomorrow.
• Drive Performance: Set clear KPIs and oversee team operations to meet budget and quality targets.
• Manage Risks: Monitor blade performance, resolve technical issues, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other managers to optimize resources and align strategies across engineering departments.

What You Need:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in wind turbine blade engineering or related fields.
• 3-5 years of managerial - team lead experience, primarily mentoring technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials and structural mechanics.

You will lead a dynamic team focused on service engineering, working closely with the existing fleet to address trending issues and provide critical feedback to the Design Authority. This team is dedicated to delivering third-level support, ensuring that our offshore electrical systems operate at peak performance while driving innovation and improvements in our products.
