Job summary

The LEGO Group invites interns to contribute to the licensed consumer products division, helping deliver sustainable licensing and consumer product solutions through global collaborations. The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote, and can be based in Billund, London, or Boston.

We seek a university student in Business or related field who can communicate in English, demonstrate experience with major brands in licensing, and balance product negotiations,

Job Description Are you interested in learning and contributing to the licensed consumer products division for one of the most trusted brands in the world? Join us as an intern and help deliver sustainable licensing & consumer product solutions through global brand collaborations which are both experience and product focused.

Core Responsibilities

Work creatively with licensees to build product portfolios that meet the requirements of our LEGO owned channels (i.e. LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, Merlin/LEGOLAND). Support LEGO’s brand values and sustainability journey through licensee pipeline management & strategic assortment definition always grounded on insights. Deliver excellence in contract negotiations, forecasting and product portfolio management. Engage partners with clear strategic, creative and brand direction. Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to bring to life strategies from a top line vision to day-to-day operations. Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver against business plans and activate according to the brand’s KPIs and strategic tentpoles. This role can be located in Billund DK, or London, UK, or Boston, MA USA. We are working in a hybrid schedule which means in the office three days a week and two days remote. The Outbound Licensing (OBL) team, contributes by delivering a sustainable licensed consumer products program ensuring the direction taken is anchored in our consumer promise and brand vision of learning through play. This role will entail extending the LEGO brick and digital play into new sustainable categories, partnerships and experiences that celebrates playful creativity and inspires people across consumer categories, and enables the LEGO brand love to extend beyond the brick.

Do you have what it takes? It's a requirement that you are enrolled in a University program within Business or something similar. Proficient in writing and speaking English. In‑depth experience at a leading brand (as a licensor) delivering global/regional licensee partnership base. A sustainability journey within your current licensing role is essential. Capacity to balance a diverse role with a passion for delivering products, negotiations and storytelling all aligned with our strategy. Experienced in consumer products licensing. A natural collaborator and relationship builder with ability to present with confidence. Balanced brand vs. business decision making with a focus on ROI (return on investment) and OES (owned, earned, shared) value generation. Strong communication skills (externally and across the organization). Problem solver and interest in licensing both through product licensing, publishing and branded partnerships. Able to prioritize key initiatives and able to support a growing portfolio through submissions, reports, research and furthering the agenda of licensing within the LEGO group. Able to be a self‑starter and work independently based on key deliverables outlined for the licensing business. Able to work cross functionally across a diverse group of enabling and supporting functions, both internally and externally. Strong financial understanding to articulate the partner business needs to internal stakeholders. Strong system understanding (Adjuno – to be taught). Xcel skills, powerpoint, data analysis and market place reporting.
