Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in Vejle is seeking a Student Worker for the Customer Order Engineering team. You will assist in enhancing methodologies for sea transport of wind turbine components and contribute to engineering analysis, including Hs/Tp diagrams and transport route evaluation.

You will help standardize bolt reuse, format wind load packages in LaTeX, and maintain weight and dimension documents. This role provides hands-on experience in marine engineering within a global renewable energy project

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of wave–structure interaction and ship stability is preferred.
  • Experience with Orcina software (OrcaFlex and OrcaWave) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with potential flow theory and classification society rules, such as DNV, BV, and ABS.
  • Knowledge of numerical programming using MATLAB and/or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methodologies for accelerating sea transport design.
  • Generate Hs/Tp scatter diagrams and evaluate multiple sea transport routes for wind turbine components.
  • Assist in standardizing bolt reuse methods to enhance efficiency.
  • Format wind load packages and Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) documents to ensure a professional presentation.
  • Update and maintain weight and dimension documents for consistency and professionalism.

What You Bring
