Job summary

The Novo Nordisk Foundation seeks a part-time student assistant to join the Digital & Data Excellence team. You will support the NORMA Grant Management System, assist with calls and reporting, and help train internal and external users. Strong communication in English and Danish is essential.

Qualifications

  • Interest in IT systems and user support for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with user support/help desks (Zendesk) is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting to internal and external users via Zendesk for NORMA-related issues.
  • Assist with opening calls, exporting reports and other routine tasks in the Foundation systems.
  • Create training materials and participate in user trainings for NORMA.
  • Contribute to usability testing and technical configuration of NORMA.

Job description

We are looking for a student assistant to join us in the Digital & Data Excellence department. You will be a part of the Business Solutions team, focusing on our SmartSimple-based Grant Management System (GMS) called NORMA. NORMA is used to receive and assess research grant applications, and to administer and pay out grants, and is used by both internal staff as well as a wife range of external users.

The job

As a student assistant, you will work closely with your colleagues in the Business Solutions team and co-workers across the Foundation. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Providing guidance and troubleshooting to internal and external users via Zendesk focusing primarily on technical issues and other questions related to applications and grants in NORMA
  • Assisting your colleagues in the Foundation with setting up new open calls for applications, exporting reports and other day-to-day tasks
  • Participating in training of new users, producing manuals, and creating training material for internal and external users
  • Participating in usability testing of the system and technical configuration of NORMA

The Business Solutions team already comprises five full-time employees and one other student assistant, all with various cross-disciplinary backgrounds within information technology. As a team, we strive to deliver the highest quality service while promoting a trust-based feedback culture and a fun working environment.

The working hours is approximately 15-20 hours per week in coordination with the other student assistant in the team, and with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.

Professional Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have a keen interest in information technology systems combined with a flair for providing fast, efficient, and high-quality user support for a wide range of different stakeholders.

Furthermore, we expect that you:

  • Are studying a BSc within Information Studies, Business Informatics, Digital Design and Interactive Technologies or Digital Management/Information Systems at the University of Copenhagen, ITU, CBS, or similar
  • Have technical flair and are comfortable working with system configuration
  • Have a basic understanding of usability and user-experience design
  • Previous experience with user support or help desks, e.g. in systems such as Zendesk, would be beneficial, but not a prerequisite

  • Fluent in English and Danish (written as well as oral)
