Job summary

Formalize is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the GRC Infrastructure team. You will be the technical anchor for our critical systems, leading end-to-end initiatives, mentoring engineers, and guiding architectural decisions.

You’ll work hands-on, shape scalable solutions, collaborate across engineering, product, and design, and drive improvements in observability and deployment as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Professional experience designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable systems.
• Ability to define technical direction and lead deep architectural sessions.
• DDD knowledge and capability to produce reliable, extensible code.
• Strong practices in deployment, observability, testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical projects end-to-end, ensuring scalable, secure platform.
• Own critical components serving as foundation of the platform.
• Act as technical sparring partner during architectural discussions.
• Raise engineering quality through reference implementations and standards.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design on end-to-end solutions.
• Resolve technical debt and improve observability, deployment, testing.
