Job summary

Whistleblower Software ApS in Copenhagen is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the full product development end-to-end, define architecture, and coordinate with engineers to raise the bar in our engineering practices.

You will lead across Engineering, Product and Design, mentor without people management, and help build the Formalize platform. The role sits in the Marketplace Team focused on governance, risk, and compliance with scalable systems and quality.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge in at least one layer of our technical stack (PHP and Angular) and in software architecture.
• Senior experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable production systems end-to-end.
• Experience in product development with focus on quality and value delivery.
• Ability to define technical direction and lead deep architectural discussions.
• Strong testing, deployment, and observability practices; communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Raise engineering quality and performance through code standards and reference implementations.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product development end-to-end.
• Define architecture and coordinate with engineers to advance engineering.
