Formalize ApS in Aarhus is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the full product development end-to-end and act as a technical lighthouse guiding architecture and engineering practices.

You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Design to shape solutions, define direction, and raise the bar on quality, testing, deployment, and observability. The role is office-first with visa support and a strong culture of ownership.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in Software Engineering designing scalable systems end-to-end.
• Expertise in at least one layer of PHP/Angular stack and system design.
• Strong focus on quality, value delivery, and architecture direction.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs and mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for full product development end-to-end.
• Define architecture and coordinate with engineers to move engineering forward.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to shape solutions and oversee implementations.
• Lead architectural discussions and set coding standards to improve quality.
