Job summary

Performativ is seeking a senior Platform Engineer to lead Mission Control, shaping a secure, scalable platform on AWS with IaC. You will mentor engineers, drive reliability through SRE practices, and create reusable constructs and golden paths to empower product teams.

Applicants should have deep hands‑on experience with AWS CDK, TypeScript, and a strong background in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering within regulated FinTech environments. Collaboration with security is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering or SRE‑type environments.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers while remaining hands‑on.
• Proven ability to design and operate production workloads on AWS with IaC.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Well‑Architected Framework and its practical applications.
• Ability to build reusable platform capabilities and self‑service tooling.
• Experience with incident response, SLOs, and post‑incident improvements.
• Familiarity with AI/agent‑assisted engineering workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Mission Control and contribute hands‑on across cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Build and evolve a secure, default platform enabling product teams to deploy and operate services independently.
• Create reusable AWS CDK constructs and golden paths to reduce complexity and improve developer experience.
• Set technical direction for platform evolution and drive delivery with the team.
• Enhance reliability practices with SLOs, error budgets, runbooks, and incident tooling.
• Optimize cloud costs and improve visibility across systems.
• Collaborate with security to strengthen security posture.
• Own the evolution of the engineering platform to empower product teams.
• Provide technical leadership and coaching to a small team of platform engineers.
