Job summary

Hitachi Denmark A/S is seeking a Signalling Engineer to join the engineering team in Copenhagen (Ballerup). The role covers ETCS signalling design, data preparation, and documentation for the Danish signalling upgrade project.

You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and validators, taking ownership of tasks and supporting the architecture and change requests. A strong technical profile and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Railway or similar).
• 5–10+ years in railway signalling engineering; ETCS experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience with technical documentation and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and engineering data per Engineering Rules.
• Engineer ETCS and interlocking data and prepare routes, speed profiles and signalling layouts.
• Conduct site surveys and support cross-functional reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and support the Architecture with requirements and design.
