Job summary

Hitachi Rail Denmark A/S seeks a Power Supply Engineer to design and verify railway power systems. You will provide power design inputs, calculations, protection/earthing support, and installation guidance to support safe commissioning and in-service operation.

Responsibilities include developing load lists, ensuring power availability, reviewing supplier designs, and coordinating across interfaces to maintain safety, reliability and EMC compliance on infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering experience in rail, infrastructure, industrial, telecoms or mission-critical power systems.
• Knowledge of LV distribution, UPS, protection coordination, earthing/bonding, electrical safety and commissioning evidence.
• Ability to coordinate power dependencies across many systems.
• Resilience under energisation readiness and commissioning pressure.
• Practical electrical safety mindset and rigorous documentation.
• More than 5 years in electrical/power systems engineering on infrastructure or industrial Projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review load lists, power requirements, single-line diagrams, UPS/backup arrangements and earthing interfaces.
• Coordinate power availability for equipment and energisation readiness.
• Review supplier/subcontract electrical designs, calculations and certificates.
• Support site surveys, inspections, commissioning and fault investigations.
• Identify power-related risks including capacity, resilience and safety.
• Escalate deviations affecting safety, EMC, capacity or constructability.
