Job summary

The Copenhagen Metro Company is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead cross-system integration for signaling, communications and IT systems in a driverless metro environment.

You will define concepts, review interfaces, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable metro operations. English proficiency is required, Danish knowledge is a plus, and the role is based in Copenhagen with attractive salary and conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience with signaling system architecture and cross-system integration.
• Familiarity with CBTC and driverless metro concepts.
• Knowledge of IP networking, SCADA interfaces and railway communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional design and system acceptance for integration across technical and operational systems.
• Define design concepts and manage integration of communication networks for CBTC metro operations.
• Translate operational concepts into tender requirements and review technical specs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and consultants during procurement, design and implementation.
• Support migration team in strategy definition and testing activities (FAT, SAT, on-site).
• Ensure integration of communication systems with signaling, SCADA, control centers.
• Contribute to RAMS documentation and safety risk assessments.
• Support long-term network architecture development and cybersecurity measures.
• Monitor compliance with EU regulations and Danish railway safety requirements.
