Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Denmark is seeking a Senior IT Windows Server Architect to set the vision for Windows Server across the General Network and Production Network, turning it into a roadmap.

You will own enterprise Windows Server architecture, define secure, standardised platforms, set security hardening, design segregated networks, lead modernisation and Infrastructure as Code, acting as senior technical authority across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting direction for Windows Server platforms in large enterprise companies.
• Ability to turn vision into roadmaps, standards and decisions.
• Deep expertise in Windows Server architecture and engineering at scale (AD, GP, DNS, DHCP, PKI and Windows authentication).
• Knowledge of Windows Server security, hardening, privileged access and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing for high availability, disaster recovery and secure network segmentation.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), monitoring, PowerShell automation and patching.
• Ability to translate business, security and operational requirements into architecture and gain cross-team buy-in.

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise Windows Server architecture, vision, roadmap and standards across General and Production environments.
• Define and govern secure, standardised platforms including configuration, networking, storage, virtualization, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Set the security architecture and hardening standards for privileged access, authentication, service accounts and certificates.
• Design architectures for segregated networks with secure integrations, controlled access, and high availability and disaster recovery standards.
• Lead modernisation efforts including upgrades, migrations, automation, Infrastructure as Code and reducing technical debt.
• Act as the senior technical authority, leading architectural governance and design reviews and guiding infrastructure, security and application teams.
